Quinta do Sampayo Grape Harvest Festival 2024
On September 28, all roads will lead to Cartaxo.
Right in the heart of Cartaxo and less than an hour from Lisbon, Quinta do Sampayo, immortalized by Almeida Garrett in the work “Viagens da Minha Terra,” honours the grape harvest and its culture, the joy of a season that encompasses a whole year of effort and dedication. On September 28, the doors are open to all family and friends.
Lots of live music with Pedro Mafama, philharmonic bands, and local folk groups, a dance matinee with DJ Fernando Alvim; gastronomy in the hands of Chefs Justa Nobre (O Nobre, Lisbon), Vítor Adão (Plano Lisboa), Miguel Silva (Varanda do Parque, Santarém) and João Correia, a local chef; Santini ice creams are some of the attractions of the Quinta do Sampayo Grape Harvest Festival on September 28. The 2024 edition of the Grape Harvest Festival will be sponsored by the great artist Marisa Liz.
Starting at 11:30 am and ending at midnight, it will be an event open to the entire community, family, and friends that aims to celebrate the end of a journey lived with dedication and great passion and will also feature various cultural proposals, among others, in a festive atmosphere.
Throughout the day, there will be several experiences that visitors can enjoy: wine tastings led by winemaker Marco Crespo; a movie session presented and commented on by Rui Tendinha; as well as a second-hand clothing market, food products, handicrafts, and various workshops, such as creative recovery of clothing items or the creation of accessories from seemingly useless materials.
