Celebrate the “Most Portuguese Carnival in Portugal” at Arena Shopping

Carnival is celebrated with intensity in the West region and Arena Shopping could not fail to join, once again, in this joy that is experienced in the city of Torres Vedras.
Thus, until March 4th, Arena Shopping will be celebrating the festivities with a series of initiatives that promise to entertain children and adults.
The celebration has already begun with the installation of the traditional Carnival Doll, on the 1st Floor, setting the tone for the activities that follow. This symbol of the season is burned annually on Ash Wednesday, after the traditional judgment of the Carnival King, marking the official end of Carnival.
On February 22nd, at 4:30 pm, the shopping mall will host a vibrant street party, as is tradition, where the famous big-headed people, the sound of bass drums and other festive elements will invade the corridors, infecting everyone with carnival rhythms.
On February 28th, the first day of the Torres Vedras Carnival, Shopping do Oeste will welcome students from the Torres Vedras International School who will take part in a parade that will fill the space with the joy that is characteristic of the season.
On the dates when the “Most Portuguese Carnival in Portugal” will be held, between February 28th and March 4th, there will be a beauty salon on the second floor, opposite the escalator exit. In keeping with this year’s theme, inspired by Freedom, in tribute to the 25th of April, this space will feature the iconic “matrafona” as a hostess and two hairdressers ready to give a final touch to visitors’ costumes with makeup, application of glitter and fun hairstyles.
This special service will be free of charge and will be available on Friday and Monday from 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm and on Saturday, Sunday and Carnival Tuesday from 11:30 am to 7:30 pm.
