The Bairro da Música Festival ends on November 5th with a concert by Teresa Salgueiro at Teatro Académico Gil Vicente, in Coimbra. Until then, it is still possible to see, tomorrow, Hugo Negrelli at Casa da Música Francisco Alves Gato, in Mafra, and Joana Alegre, on Saturday, at Centro Cultural Olga Cadaval, in Sintra.
The Portuguese-French guitarist, singer and composer Hugo Negrelli will present his debut solo album, “Loose Frame Tales”, live tomorrow, with influences as diverse as poetic folk ballads to jazz, blues and fusion. “A dream you showed me” is the introductory single.
On Saturday it is Joana Alegre’s turn to take Sintra “Centro”, her second album of originals, from which she has already revealed two singles: “Joana do Mar” (a theme she made known at the Festival da Canção 2021, where she participated as an author and interpreter, having reached the final), “Caçula” and “Canção do Instante”, in a duet with Luísa Sobral. Produced by Luísa Sobral, it has sounds as distinct as baroque pop and neo-folk.
On November 5th, Teresa Salgueiro closes the Bairro da Música Festival with the show “Por Dentro do Silêncio” with themes of her creation, along with the wide variety of Portuguese authors who have been performing throughout this time and arranging in the light of their language musical.
