Big Bang Festival 2024 is back

CCB > October 25 (FOR SCHOOLS) AND October 26 (GENERAL PUBLIC)

The festival ideal for those with curious ears and daring spirits returns for its 14th edition. Young spectators will navigate this labyrinth of musical adventures in a colourful and diverse program of multidisciplinary performances, interactive installations, and music in many styles and formats.

Big Bang offers plenty of adventure and an exciting journey for children, youth, and adults.

Big Bang is an international project involving several international partners, with editions in 18 cities across Europe, Brazil, and Canada. Through this project, initiated by the Belgian company Zonzo Compagnie, the Fábrica das Artes has opened an important space for the exchange of musical experiences for children. Portuguese and foreign musicians have travelled across the four corners of Europe, integrating the Big Bang network since 2010.

An Adventure into the World of Senses – Premiere

The Big Bang LX 2024 Festival invites Noiserv to take the stage of the Grand Auditorium at the Centro Cultural de Belém, in a concert that will feature the stage participation of a group of young musicians. It will be a carefully prepared, unique, and special show for this occasion. The audience will travel through Noiserv’s discography in a groundbreaking presentation in terms of sound and light.

A journey through the fascinating mind of Maurice Ravel.

The world of the French composer Maurice Ravel captures the imagination. From folk melodies and fairy tales like Ma Mère l’Oye to orchestral experiences like his famous Boléro, which he referred to as music without music.

In this performance, we will see Ravel growing up in his father’s house, an engineer and inventor. Step by step, Ravel’s creative world will unfold, and you might even become one of his cats.

Concert-performance for the right to a burrow and many touches

Listen: I touch, you touch, we touch. But there must be burrows for everyone, a burrow for each one to exist in it. No fear, sing, sleep, eat, love. Where is my burrow?

Two musician-performers will be among the audience, abolishing the stage-audience divide, protecting and caring for one another. Outside it may rain or be cold, but here we will be warm. We have the right, don’t we?

TOCAS is a wordless performance that speaks of our need for a home and affection. We will start with sound and talk about what we want for our lives: many touches inside the burrow.

Get ready for the Big Bang that Skoola will bring!

We invite the audience to join a Skoola circle. The PLAY unleashes the body, and the bass, and in a circular format, we call those who wish to join: to observe or dance with us amid the available elements. A beat, with rhythm, a base melody, and one or two microphones. PLAY is the beginning and the PAUSE is necessary… to restart.

Tocá Rufar invades the CCB for A GRAND FINAL of the Big Bang!

Tocá Rufar is a model project for artistic and cultural training for the affirmation and promotion of traditional Portuguese percussion and the bombo instrument. It stands out by placing Portuguese culture, knowledge, and art in a privileged position as a source of value, development, and contemporaneity.
