It’s next week that the largest Fado Festival returns, in a tribute edition to Fernando Maurício.
Next Friday and Saturday, Alfama will be even more filled with Fado, hosting a new edition of the Festival that has already won the hearts of the audience.
For 2 days, there will be over 50 concerts spread across 12 stages, featuring renowned voices and emerging talents that ensure the future of the genre, in an edition that pays homage to the “King without a Crown” of traditional fado, Fernando Maurício. Camané; Carminho and António Zambujo together with André Dias, Flávio Cardoso Jr, and Tiago Maia in the live performance “Em Casa d’Amália” authored by José Gonçalez; Tribute to Fernando Maurício by Jorge Fernando and guests Vitor Miranda, Jaime Dias, Pedro Galveias, Luís Matos, Ana Maurício, Cátia Miranda; Lenita Gentil; Marco Rodrigues; Marina Mota; Nuno Guerreiro; Paulo Bragança; Ricardo Ribeiro; the 50 years of career of António Pinto Basto; Buba Espinho… are just a few of the highlights of this edition of the Festival Caixa Alfama, on the upcoming days of September 27 and 28.
The Caixa Alfama invites you to listen to Fado in the heart of the Lisbon neighbourhood, in a variety of spaces ranging from the modernity of the Lisbon Cruise Terminal to iconic churches, passing through the Fado Museum, recreational associations, or historic squares, providing visitors with a unique artistic range.

The ticket must be exchanged for a wristband, by the holder, placed by the Festival organization at the Fado Museum, starting September 26. The wristband provides access to all Festival spaces up to the capacity limit of each one.
