The Francesinhas Festival is back in Seixal, with its fifth edition, from June 13 to 22, from 12 pm to 3 pm and from 7 pm to 10:30 pm, at Jardim do Fogueteiro, Paivas.
This year, there will be three restaurants where you can taste this typical delicacy in its traditional, wood-fired, vegetarian and vegan varieties.
«Since our city has a wide variety of quality cuisine, we are once again honoured to host this festival, which allows us to taste this traditional dish from Porto Alegre in its most varied versions. In addition to our community being able to taste this delicious delicacy, this is also a space for socialising and entertainment in an open-air environment», says the mayor of Seixal, Paulo Silva.
The restaurants participating in this fifth edition are:
Alicantina: founded in 1991, this is a classic restaurant brand in Porto, which, for many, has the best francesinha in the city.
Alfândega Douro: located in the parish of Miragaia, a riverside and historic area of the city, this restaurant stands out for its francesinha made in a wood-fired oven.
Santa Francesinha: a restaurant that serves the true traditional francesinha or the more innovative ones, such as the famous 100 per cent vegan francesinha, which is considered by experts to be the best vegan francesinha in Porto.
