The Morocco Fado Festival returns for the seventh consecutive year, on the 25th and 26th of September, at the Théâtre National Mohammed V in Rabat with the theme: Fado and Freedom.
The theme “Fado and Freedom”, follows the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the carnation revolution of April 1974 and the event features a program of shows with Beatriz Felício and Matilde Cid, the film “The Consul of Bordeaux”, a classic of international cinema that highlights the Portuguese contribution to freedom and the conference with Rodrigo Costa Félix on the theme “Fado and Freedom”,
The Fado Festival takes place in 17 major cities in Europe, Africa, Latin America and Asia and completes 14 editions in 2024 since its beginning in Madrid.
The Fado Festival is organized by Tudo é novo and Alto e Bom Som in co-production with the Fado Museum | Lisbon Culture.
