Festival dos Canals in Aveiro with shows until the 25th of July
Music, theater, dance, new circus, visual arts, activities for children and several other artistic areas will be represented at Festival dos Canals, with 11 national premieres, performing in various places in the city. Entry is free.
The festival features foreground figures, with two stages for concerts. The largest will be at Praça Marquês de Pombal, starting at 6.30 pm, where Tiago Bettencourt, The Black Mamba, Gisela João, DAMA, Matay and Bárbara Bandeira perform, as well as a unique concert by the band from Aveiro, Troll’s Toy with the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Beiras. The remaining concerts will be presented at 5 pm, on the traditional stage of the ATLAS Aveiro’s staircase, which will receive performances by names such as Bia Maria, Navega, The Twist Connection, Labaq, Lobo Mau, Curt Davis, and Cabrita. The Festival dos Canals is promoted by the Municipality of Aveiro and organized by Teatro Aveirense and takes place from 15th to 25th of July in several places in the city of Aveiro – always with free entry, upon collection of a ticket before the start of the shows.
Similar to the last edition, the event in 2021 returns to respond to the care required by the current context of the Pandemic, having received the prior agreement of the Health Delegate of Aveiro, taking place in accordance with the safety standards decreed by the General Health Department.
