The seventh edition of Festival F, which takes place from the 1st to the 3rd of September in Vila Adentro, the historic center of Faro, marks the return of the last great summer festival. With 9 stages – Ria, Sé, Quintalão, Magisterium, Museum, Musicians, Castelo, Arco and Arraial – and close to fifty artists announced today, Festival F keeps the Ria Formosa as a backdrop to receive the great music family. portuguese.
Agir, Bárbara Bandeira, Chico da Tina, Danni Gato, Dino D’Santiago, HMB, Ivandro, José Cid with Orquestra Clássica do Sul, KURA, Julinho KSD, Karetus, Marco Rodrigues, Miguel Araújo, Nenny, Pedro Mafama, Richie Campbell, Syro, The Black Mamba, Vitão or Wet Bed Gang are some of the names that were announced at a press conference, in a poster that brings together artists dedicated to the youngest, thus reinforcing Festival F as an event that brings together audiences of various genres and ages.
After going through two years of the pandemic in a special format, the Noites F, ensuring the safety of the public who attended in droves and maintaining support for the music sector and its professionals, Festival F returns to its usual format this year, to to continue the historic edition of 2019. It is recalled that that year Festival F broke the attendance record, having taken close to 60,000 people to Faro and sold out one of the three nights, receiving 24,000 people in the venue. Between its first 6 editions and the F Nights, the organization has already hosted over 300 artists, in a clear mission to support Portuguese music.
Due to the turnout in 2019 and what is expected for this year’s edition, Festival F increases the number of stages to nine, in order to allow greater mobility and public safety, ensuring more circulation options. Thus, a new stage, Magisterium, and a new area, Arraial do F.
In 2022, Festival F will once again present a program parallel to the musical lineup, maintaining the daily gatherings, whose themes and guests will be announced soon, adding contemporary art exhibitions at Fábrica da Cerveja to those on display at the Museum and at the Trem and returning to the Stand Up Comedy with Hugo Sousa, João Pinto, Inês Coimbra and Youre Cabral on the 1st; Alexandre Santos, Eduardo Pita Negrão, Daniel Silva and André Pinheiro on the 2nd; and Dário Guerreiro, Juan Pereira, Madalena Malveiro and Ricardo Maria on 3 September.
Festival F is an initiative of the Municipality of Faro, Teatro Municipal de Faro, S.M., Ambifaro and the production company Sons em Trânsito.
