Return of the Last Great Summer Festival
PAUS joins the seventh edition of Festival F, which takes place from the 1st to the 3rd of September in Vila Adentro, the historic center of Faro. Regional artists were also announced, as well as DJ sets, completing the main lineup that brings together more than 50 artists, including established names and the newest ones that mark the present day of Portuguese music, thus reinforcing Festival F as a festival that gathers audiences of various genders and ages. The distribution of the artists by stages and the respective times of the performances is also known, with the doors of the venue opening daily at 18:00 and the party extending until 05:00. Day tickets and general passes are still on sale at the usual places.
In this full return, Festival F has 2 new stages, distributing its programming across 9 stages in total – Ria, Sé, Quintalão, Museu, Músicos, Castelo, Arco, and the new Magistério and Arraial. On the venue’s map, the Ria Formosa remains as a backdrop to receive the great family of Portuguese music.
In 2022, Festival F will once again present a program parallel to the musical lineup, maintaining daily gatherings, whose themes and guests will be announced soon, adding contemporary art exhibitions at Fábrica da Cerveja and Galeria Arco to those on display at the Museum and at Galeria Trem and returning to Stand Up Comedy with Hugo Sousa, João Pinto, Inês Coimbra and Youre Cabral on the 1st; Alexandre Santos, Duarte Pita Negrão, Dagu and André Pinheiro on the 2nd; and Dário Guerreiro, Juan Pereira, Madalena Malveiro and Ricardo Maria on 3 September.
Positioning itself as an event for the whole family, Festival F once again encourages the presence of the youngest, either through free admission up to 12 years of age or through the F Kids space, which has fun-filled activities. pedagogical activities with the theme of environmental sustainability between 8 pm and midnight, for children between 6 and 10 years old.
It should also be noted that, in partnership with Santa Casa, this year Festival F is more accessible for people with reduced mobility, with platforms on the Ria and Sé Stages, access ramps to the space where the gatherings take place, and adapted bathrooms.
After going through two years of a pandemic in a special format, the F Nights, ensuring the safety of the public who attended in droves and maintaining support for the music sector and its professionals, Festival F returns to its usual format this year, to continue the historic edition of 2019. It is recalled that that year Festival F broke the record for attendance, selling out for the first time one of the three nights. In the past 6 editions, Festival F and Noites F, the organization has already received over 300 artists, with a clear mission to support Portuguese music.
Festival F is an initiative of the Municipality of Faro, Teatro Municipal de Faro, S.M., Ambifaro and the production company Sons em Trânsito.
