Gastronomic Festival Flavors of Lamprey from the Minho River
São Pedro da Torre, in Valença, is once again the stage for one of the most anticipated gastronomic events in the region: the Lamprey Festival.
From March 21 to 23, lovers of this delicacy will have the opportunity to taste traditional dishes prepared with lamprey from the Minho River in an event that celebrates gastronomy, culture and local tradition.
The Lamprey Festival is a landmark event that attracts visitors from across the region and neighboring Galicia, promoting tourism and boosting the local economy. Entry is free, and the organization invites everyone to participate in this celebration of Minho gastronomy.
The gastronomic offerings of this edition include Lamprey Rice, Lamprey Ă Bordalesa, Stuffed Lamprey, Oven-Roasted Lamprey and the emblematic five-flavor lamprey dish.
As alternative dishes, there will be Cod and Roasted Sirloin. They accompany the region’s green wines and a varied palette of desserts.
The initiative is from the City Council of Valença, Carochos â Association of Flavors of the Minho River, Parish of SĂŁo Pedro da Torre and the Festival Committee of SĂŁo Pedro da Torre.
