The management of IndieLisboa thus decides to repeat what it did in 2020, when it postponed the festival until the end of the summer, in order to be able to have cinema sessions with audiences, in the theater, even with reduced capacity.
Thus, this year IndieLisboa – in its 18th edition – will run from August 21st to September 6th.
In April, in the week it was supposed to take place, IndieLisboa will hold a special session at the Cinemateca Portuguesa, in which the full schedule of the retrospective dedicated to the French director Sarah Maldoror will be announced.
IndieJunior, as it will take place inside schools and not in movie theaters, will keep the planned dates, from April 29th to May 14th. The IndieJunior strand for families will only happen in August and September.
