Joana Alegre < Festival Jardins do Marquês – Oeiras Valley
Singer-songwriter across the borders of folk, art-rock and baroque pop, Joana Alegre trained in classical and jazz in Portugal, the United States of America and Italy. He fell in love with the Portuguese public in 2014 with “E Agora?”, a duet with Mikkel Solnado, who produced his first album “Joan & The White Harts”. In 2019/20 he participated in the program The Voice Portugal, winning 3rd place, and in 2021 he was a finalist at the Festival da Canção with “Joana do Mar”. Irma < Festival Jardins do Marquês – Oeiras Valley
Irma was born in Lisbon, but her identity reflects a strong influence on Angolan culture, especially because Angola is the country of origin of the grandparents with whom she grew up. At the age of 12, she inherited a guitar from her mother, an instrument that she never stopped exploring, at the same time she ventured into writing songs, first in her room and little by little with the door open to the world. The release of “Primavera”, her debut album, marks the birth of a promising singer, lyricist and composer among the new generation of Portuguese artists. The introductory single, “A Any Hora”, was written ten years earlier and reminded us that “there is no condition for love. There is no time, no place, no way to love yourself better or worse.” After “Vejo-te Aqui”, a song she released in collaboration with Tiago Nacarato and which continues in high rotation on the main national radio stations, the artist prepared the successor to her debut album. “Próxima Vez” and “Fica Comigo” are two of the songs on the new EP, “Filha da Tuga”. The Portuguese public will be able to enjoy these new songs at the Jardins do Marquês Festival – Oeiras Valley, on July 10th, in the first part of Djavan’s concert.
