Festival-goers can already mark in their agenda the days of the MED Festival in 2023: from July 29 to July 2. The date was announced during WOMEX’22 – Worldwide Music Expo, a fair dedicated to the world’s music sector, where MED was once again present.
More than 2600 professionals (including 260 artists) gathered from October 19 to 23, at Altice Arena and Sala Tejo, as well as in various spaces in the capital, to promote the global music industry and also to connect, inspire and share experiences. This fair once again allowed new partnerships in transcontinental markets and an open international economic and cultural dialogue.
Those who passed through these days had the opportunity to visit stands 58 and 59 where the Festival MED team was available to transmit all kinds of information about the event, establish contacts and exchange ideas with other partners. On the part of the MED organization, in addition to listening to the market and getting to know the new trends in the industry, WOMEX made it possible to bridge the gap for possible hiring of artists for 2023. (change – no mention of hiring).
More than 50 nationalities, 7 stages, about 700 exhibiting companies, more than 100 speakers, dozens of concerts, film cycles, lectures, debates and the usual award ceremony were some of the numbers that marked the five days of networking this 28th edition of WOMEX, the world’s most internationally and culturally diverse music meeting and the largest conference on the global music scene today.
