Micro Clima Festival at Parede

  • April 14: Soluna, EU.CLIDES, Ganso and M3DUSA
  • April 15: Atalaia Airlines, Extrazen, Pongo and Progressivu

The Micro Clima Festival is one of the projects of the Micro Clima Association’s annual program. It was born in 2017 by a group of friends around SMUP – Sociedade Musical União Paredense and since then it has been cherished, growing at each edition with the participation of various musical and visual artists.

The idea is to offer the public a heterogeneous program, not limited to a single musical genre or artistic current. The two days of the festival are intended to be a celebration of transdisciplinarity and multiculturalism, inviting the public, from different generations, cultures, and geographies, to share a welcoming and plural environment. In its previous editions, the Festival Micro Clima received artists such as Conjunto Corona, B Fachada, Ena Pá 2000, Sensible Soccers, Bonga, Luís Severo, Jasmim, Rapaz Ego, Bone Slim, Filipe Karlsson, Tito Paris, Álcool Club, among others.

Embracing new talent is one of the motivations of this festival, surrounded by a very effervescent musical and artistic nucleus, aware of the current artistic paradigm, thus bringing together leading artists with a new generation. Proof of this is the poster that the Micro Clima Festival presents in 2023, with established artists such as Pongo, EU.CLIDES, Ganso or Progressivu, and emerging artists such as Soluna, Extrazen, Atalaia Airlines, and M3DUSA. But we don’t stop at music and, as usual, the visual arts are also present. The artists João Campolargo Teixeira and João Madureira present an unprecedented installation and Eugénia Burnay, Margarida Conceição, Ricardo Oliveira and Luísa Tudela are the artists chosen for the plastic artistic intervention that marks the bathrooms of our festival. Mariana Tudela and Pedro Fernandes are once again the artists responsible for the scenography of our stage, which year after year continues to surprise and is a distinctive symbol of the Micro Clima Festival.

The Micro Clima Festival also aims to break with the idea of a cultural offer for the so-called “periphery” of the capital, bringing a diversified and quality program, and promoting new centralities, through the development of affective ties with the territory and with the community.
