Montepio Festival Às Vezes o Amor Reveals Full Program for 2026

Between February 12th and 15th, the Festival presents 16 shows in 15 cities, featuring 14 artists and several premieres in the program.

The Montepio Festival Às Vezes o Amor presents its full program for 2026, with 16 shows distributed across 15 cities in the country, between February 12th and 15th.

For four days, music will once again be the meeting point of a project that brings together established artists, newcomers, and different territories, celebrating love simultaneously in various parts of the country.

Maintaining the identity built over more than a decade, the Festival returns to articulate artistic trajectories close to its audience with proposals that emerge in new contexts or in encounters conceived for this specific moment, reinforcing the diversity of languages and formats.

Among the artists joining the Montepio Às Vezes o Amor Festival lineup for the first time are Sérgio Godinho, Ricardo Ribeiro, Luís Trigacheiro, Rui Massena, and the José Pinhal Post-Mortem Experience project, broadening the festival’s artistic spectrum and fostering dialogue between different generations and musical languages. One of the most unique encounters brings together Ricardo Ribeiro with the Sociedade Filarmónica Ouriense, in a show that connects the philharmonic tradition with song.

Sérgio Godinho presents As Canções de Amor de Sérgio Godinho – Biografias do Amor, a show that will tour Lisbon and Porto, joining the festival’s itinerary for the first time. The program also features returning artists who maintain a continued connection to the project, such as Aurea, Buba Espinho, Carolina de Deus, Carolina Deslandes, Delfins, Fernando Daniel, João Pedro Pais, Marisa Liz, and GNR, who return to the festival with a concert in Gondomar.

This year, the Festival’s route also includes new territories, with Gondomar, Paredes, and Vale de Cambra joining the Montepio Às Vezes o Amor map for the first time, expanding its national presence and contact with new audiences.

On Valentine’s Day, February 14th, Lisbon will host a special event with a show by singer Aurea in the Central Square of UBBO. Integrated into the venue’s programming, this performance marks a different approach to the Festival’s usual presentation format, with free admission, limited to the venue’s capacity.

Over these four days, the Montepio Às Vezes o Amor Festival will visit Amarante, Aveiro, Gondomar, Lagoa, Leiria, Lisbon, Lousã, Ourém, Paredes, Penafiel, Peso da Régua, Porto, Torres Novas, Vale de Cambra, and Vila do Conde, bringing together 14 artists in 16 concerts, creating a shared moment of music in various cities across the country.

In its 12th edition, the Montepio Às Vezes o Amor Festival continues to establish itself as a meeting place for artists and audiences, where music serves as a starting point to celebrate love in different geographies and contexts.
