Festival Periferias celebrates 10 years in online format

The festival will be divided into four stages and will adopt a hybrid model, starting with a spring prelude between March 18th and 21st.

For four days, Periferias Primavera promises a diversified program for spectators of all ages, in the safety of their homes, with theater shows, poetry, music, and conversations that promote moments of reflection.

The shows begin on the 18th, with the play Bazuca News, by the Porto artistic group Teatro da Palmilha Dentada, and on the 19th the invitation is to embark on a trip through the World of Poetry Slam, a poetry gathering that will include guests from various Portuguese and European points.

On the 20th, the Peripheral Conversations, in a virtual session, counted on the participation of creators, programmers and representatives of national entities, and on the 21st, for the youngest, there will be the show PaPI-Opus 8, from the Companhia de Música Teatral from Famalicão, on a virtual trip to the world of birds, which involves theater, music and a lot of movement.

Finally, Periferias Primavera ends the season with a unique and intimate concert by the musician NBC, who will present the album Epiderme, created solo during the confinement.

After the spring shows, the festival’s management predicts that the rest of the year will accompany the return to normality with different formats.

In the summer, the festival should take to the streets and, in the fall and winter, it is expected to open the ‘curtains’ of the concert halls again with a program in the hall.
