Festival Santa Casa Alfama’22

• In an edition that pays homage to the unforgettable Max, the Fado Museum presents the video mapping show that will transport us through his journey, on the facade of the Lisbon Cruise Terminal.

• For health reasons, Maria da Fé will not be able to perform at the Festival. Thus, the show “As Divas” will be composed by Alexandra, Lenita Gentil, Maria Armanda and Maria da Nazaré.

The biggest Fado festival in the world is taking place next week, Santa Casa Alfama. On the 23rd and 24th of September, some of the best fadistas of today will pass through various stages throughout Alfama. In a tribute to Max, the Fado Museum presents the video mapping show Tributo a Max.

The Fado Museum presents a video mapping show that will transport us through Max’s interesting journey.

From his youth on the island of Madeira to his first performances at Cinema Éden, in Lisbon. From the regular presence on the radio to the national stages of the revue theatre. The fados of Lisbon and Coimbra, the humorous fados, the folklore, and the captivating personality that seduced Portugal.

Images of the unforgettable Max, accompanied by the sound of his voice, in a short film that celebrates his life and his artistic trajectory.

Not to be missed, on the façade of the Lisbon Cruise Terminal, during the two days of Santa Casa Alfama.

For health reasons, Maria da Fé will not be able to attend the Santa Casa Alfama. Thus, the cast of the show “As Divas”, which will take place on Palco Santa Casa on September 24th, will be joined by Maria Armanda, who will join Alexandra, Lenita Gentil, and Maria da Nazaré, in what will certainly be one of the most special features of this edition of Santa Casa Alfama.
