“SBSR.FM Em Sintonia – Sintoniza-te na Música Nacional!” took national artists to Altice Arena, in Lisbon, on December 17th and 18th, for an unmissable festival that marked 2020.
Rádio SBSR.FM Em Sintonia – Sintoniza-te na Música Nacional! emerged as a response to the impossibility of holding the Super Bock em Stock this year, in the current context of the COVID-19 pandemic and respective restrictions, both in the circulation of international artists and in the capacity of concert halls.
Despite all the constraints of the current context, it was important to keep alive the tradition of holding an autumn/winter event, especially at a time when it is urgent to return the work to the musicians and other entertainment professionals and it was with this in mind that, on December 17 and 18, the Rádio SBSR.FM Em Sintonia festival was held at Altice Arena, in Lisbon, with a program entirely dedicated to Portuguese national music, with concerts taking place on three different stages, appealing to the circulation the public between the various spaces, complying with all the rules and guidelines of the Directorate-General for Health.
At a time when it is necessary to reflect on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Culture and, in particular, on the Music industry, and when it is urgent to find answers and solutions for the near future, Rádio SBSR.FM Em Sintonia also opened a space for debate, reflection, and sharing of ideas and experiences, with the cycle of 6 conferences under the theme “MOCHE Talks: The Music Industry in the Current Context”.
The festival offered 3 different stages. The main stage, Palco Super Bock (Arena), opened with the band Ganso at 6 pm, followed by the group Conjunto Cuca Monga, at 7:15 pm, Chico da Tina at 8:30 pm, and Profjam & Benji Prince who closed the first day of the festival, at 9:30 pm. On the 18th Afonso Cabral performed at 6 pm, followed by B Fachada at 7:15 pm, Papillon at 8:15 pm, and the band Capitão Fausto that ended the festival.
The Santa Casa Stage (Sala Tejo), the second stage, opened with Ivandro, at 5:15 pm, followed by Paulo Bragança, at 6:35 pm, and Closer Integral 2020, at 8:45 pm. The following day, December 18, Ian performed at 5:15 pm, followed by Pedro de Tróia, at 6:45 pm, and Filipe Karlsson, at 8:40 pm.
Last but not least, the Stage Ermelinda Freitas (Sala Fernando Pessa), opened with the band Hause Plants, at 5:15 pm, followed by Domingues, at 6:35 pm, and Amaura, at 8:15 pm, and, on the last day of the festival, received Sreya, at 5:15 pm, Acid Acid, at 6:45 pm, and Jasmim at 8:00 pm.
There were about 225 professionals involved in the realization of Rádio SBSR.FM Em Sintonia, among musicians, production, management, and sound and light technicians, to take these unmissable concerts to the stage.
During the festival, a collection of non-perishable food was also made at the site for União Audiovisual, an informal group created in a pandemic context to help workers in the Culture sector.
This festival was a production of Musica no Coração with the partnerships of Super Bock, Santa Casa de Lisboa, Casa Ermelinda Freitas, Tranquilidade, SIC, MOP, Filfogo and World Academy.
The Super Bock in Stock returns in 2021, on the 19th and 20th of November.
