Filipa Martins in seventh place in the ‘all around’ of the Worlds

Gymnast Filipa Martins finished in seventh place, in the complete competition of the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships, the best Portuguese classification ever.

Taking place in Japan, the Artistic Gymnastics World Championships ended with a victory for Angelina Melnikova, of the Russian Gymnastics Federation, with 56,362 points, with Leanne Wong and Kayla di Celo, North American, in second and third position respectively.

Filipa Martins, the 25 years old gymnast, the oldest among the 24 finalists, finished with 52,199 points, received a diploma and will compete on Saturday in the final of asymmetric parallels.
