The commercial premiere will take place more than a year after the film was presented at the IndieLisboa festival, where it made its national premiere and won the Best Direction Award for Portuguese Feature Film and the Audience Award.
‘The Metamorphosis of the Birds’ had its world premiere at the Berlin festival, in February 2020, where it won the International Critics Award.
Since then, he has won distinctions in different events, such as the Best Film Award at the Vilnius Festival, in Lithuania, and the Special Jury Award at the Taipei Festival, in Taiwan. It also received the Best Film Award at the Dokufest Festival, in Kosovo.
‘The Metamorphosis of the Birds’ has been selected for over 25 international festivals, in the United States, Russia, Spain, Greece, Korea, Canada, Poland, Brazil, Mexico, Australia, Italy.
