“Rock Bottom Riser”, Fern Silva’s first feature film, made its world premiere in March at the Berlin festival, in the Competitive Encounters section, where he came to receive an honorable mention.
The New York Times, in the text about the New Directors/New Films, places “Rock Bottom Riser” at the “extreme ‘avant-garde'” of the festival, referring to the work as a “set of discontinued moments, which grows to become an ethnographic and ecological sketch of Hawaii “.
The film will be shown again in the theater on May 7, and will also be available online in the United States between Friday and May 5.
