‘A Herdade’, which tells the story of a landowning family over 40 years, between dictatorship and democracy, is in international competition.
The film arrives in India after being at the Venice festival in 2018 and other international festivals. The film had a version in television miniseries, was a candidate from Portugal for an Oscar nomination for Best International Film and won at the Sophia Awards, of the Portuguese Academy of Cinema.
‘Ordem Moral’, by Mário Barroso, is part of the ‘World Panorama’ section, presenting a story inspired by the life of Maria Adelaide Coelho da Cunha, heir and former owner, one hundred years ago, of Diário de Notícias.
The Tokyo Film Festival and the São Paulo Film Festival (Brazil) were two of the festivals where ‘Ordem Moral’ has already been shown. He is also Portugal’s candidate for Best Ibero-American Film at the Ariel 2021 Awards (Mexico).
