Continuing the eSports ELEVEN program, on the 9th and 10th of May ELEVEN SPORTS will broadcast live 4 motorized eSports competitions: ABB Formula E Race at Home Challenge, DTM eSports Classic Challenge, Racing Series and F1 Virtual GP in Spain .
[dropcap]T[/dropcap]his weekend eSports continue to be a big part of ELEVEN SPORTS, which keeps its focus on transmitting the best of virtual sport. On Saturday and Sunday the highlight goes to motor sports with the ABB Formula E Race at Home Challenge, the DTM eSports Classic Challenge, the Racing Series and the F1 Virtual GP of Spain.
ABB Formula E Race at Home Challenge
The third stage of the competition will be played on the Monaco circuit tomorrow, May 9, at 3:30 pm, with live transmission on the ELEVEN SPORTS Twitch channel and with the participation of the Portuguese driver António Félix da Costa, who is part of the DS team. Techeetah.
Resulting from the Formula E partnership with UNICEF, the single-seat street racing competition, powered exclusively by electricity, entered the online world, in an e-Sports competition, for seven weeks, with all the teams and drivers of the ABB FIA Championship Formula E, as well as a selection of the best eSports players.
DTM eSports Classic Challenge
The DTM eSports Classic Challenge is the first eSports series in Europe’s most popular touring car series – DTM (Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters).
It is a 5-stage competition, which features 15 Allstars drivers (current and former DTM drivers, influencers and VIP guests) competing with some of the most famous cars in the series, against the 5 fastest simulator drivers in the DTM simracing community.
The race will take place at the Anderstorp race track, home to the Formula 1 Swedish Grand Prix throughout the 1970s, and will be broadcast live on Sunday, May 10, at 1:00 pm, on the ELEVEN SPORTS Twitch channel.
Racing Series
The 3rd round of the Racing Series will take place at the Silverstone track (International layout) and the car that will compete will be the Aston Martin Vantage GT3. This race will leave the 4 fastest drivers, who will dispute the grand final on the 7th of June.
The Racing Series is a competition resulting from the partnership of ELEVEN SPORTS with the GTC Race Center and the Autódromo Virtual de Lisboa, played in rFactor2 simulator, in 6 qualifiers with 20 drivers each, determined through 12 Pre-Qualifications with unlimited number of drivers. The 3rd round of the Racing Series is broadcast live on Sunday, May 10th, at 3 pm, on ELEVEN SPORTS 3 and on ELEVEN SPORTS Facebook.
F1 eSPORTS virtual Grand Prix of Spain
This Sunday’s virtual Grand Prix is the sixth race of the F1 eSports Virtual Grand Prix Series, which will replace the Spanish Grand Prix, originally scheduled for the same date, and will use the Catalonia-Barcelona circuit, offering fans the opportunity to attend Formula 1 racing virtually.
In this, which is the sixth stage of the Virtual Grand Prix championship, 6 drivers of the World Championship participate: Alexander Albon (Red Bull), Charles Leclerc (Ferrari), Lando Norris (McLaren), Antonio Giovinazzi (Alfa Romeo) and George Russell and Nicholas Latifi ( Williams).
The pilots are joined by Manchester City’s Argentine striker Sergio Agüero, an avowed Formula 1 fan who will be the Thai’s teammate at Red Bull, while Arthur Melo, Brazilian midfielder from Barcelona, will join the Haas team alongside the compatriot Pietro Fittipaldi, reserve and test pilot for the North American team.
