The service hiring platform Fixando launched a support campaign aimed at facilitating communication between clients and local specialists in the Valencia region, in response to the devastation caused by heavy rains and floods brought on by the weather phenomenon DANA – isolated depression at high levels.
Following the trail of destruction left by the storm, which has already resulted in 155 deaths, Fixando reveals that the demand for repair services in the Valencia region surged by 950% yesterday, prompting the platform to facilitate connections between professionals and clients.
The measure, which will be in effect indefinitely, allows construction and repair professionals to contact clients in the Valencia area for free and offer their services without the need to invest credits on the platform, thus facilitating the submission of proposals for those who need help in rebuilding and repairing their homes.
The initiative by Fixando aims to support the reconstruction of the lives and homes of Valencia residents, promoting an effective and accessible response for those now facing the challenges of post-disaster recovery.
“We believe that by removing barriers to access to budget requests, we are actively contributing to the population of Valencia finding the services they need to rebuild their homes and return to normalcy as quickly as possible. Our role is, above all, to facilitate and unite the community of professionals and clients for a more effective joint response,” emphasized Miguel Mascarenhas, CEO of Fixando, on the importance of a swift response at this critical time.
The CEO of the company also reinforced that they will keep the campaign active for as long as necessary for the sector and the residents of the region to start the repair work on their homes.
According to Fixando, the most sought-after services by the residents of the region include land cleaning and debris removal, roof and gutter repair, deep cleaning of houses, appliance repairs, and remodelling works.
