Foo Fighters Celebrate 25 Years at Rock in Rio Lisboa
Rock in Rio Lisboa is even more magical, with new experiences, more attractions and a luxury soundtrack to accompany. After the teaser strategy launched by Galp, lucky 30 have already secured a place to watch the concert of Foo Fighters, American rock band led by charismatic Dave Grohl and the first confirmation for the World Stage poster.
Considered one of the best concerts of this year’s edition of Rock in Rio, in Brazil, the band that celebrates 25 years in 2020 performs in the City of Rock on June 21, celebrating its anniversary with the Portuguese public in a memorable show.
There will be two consecutive magical and thrilling weekends, with over 12 hours of entertainment per day spread across 14 attraction venues, where the well-known World Stage, Galp Music Valley, Super Bock Digital Stage, Worten Game Ring, Yorn Street Dance, Somerby Pool Parties, 7Up Slide and Gourmet Space join ESC Online Sports Bar, a Rock in Rio Kids, a whole block dedicated to the Gaming (Game District), a surprising new Ferris wheel, a roller coaster that also includes VR technology and a Rock Street dedicated to Asian culture. All this, coupled with top names like Foo Fighters, a band currently in the studio working on a new album, due for release next year.
On June 21, 2020, Foo Fighters are preparing to once again fan fans with themes that marked their quarter-century, such as “Concrete & Gold”, “Learn To Fly”, “Times Like These”, “ My Hero ”,“ These Days ”,“ Everlong ”,“ Walk ”or“ Run ”, Grammy Award Winner for Best Rock Song in 2018. In all, there are now nine original albums (which have sold tens of millions of copies), 12 Grammy’s, many successes and many distinctions, which earned them the status of “greatest active rock band” and “last great American rock band.”
