The Food Trucks Factory, a company of the Verso Move Group, launched a campaign to support health professionals who are fighting COVID-19, distributing free coffee, snacks, and pasteis de nata (egg tarts).
The initiative gathered the support of Delta Cafés, Nestlé, Panidor, Street Food Portugal Association (ASFP), Designaqui and The Agency and has, for now, more than 10,000 euros in donated products.
According to Luís Rato, mentor of the initiative, “we are facing a very positive response from the industry that shows that it is prepared to help feed the country in crisis situations like this. We want to give the maximum possible comfort to health professionals and other professionals in the front line, thus preventing them from making large trips to replenish their energies”.
The campaign started this week in Cartaxo, Santarém and Almeirim and will benefit professionals from INEM, Firefighters, Civil Protection, GNR, PSP and cleaning employees.
Municipalities that wish to see this action available in their localities or companies that want to associate by donating food products, can contact the Street Food Portugal Association (ASFP) and submit their request!
