Formula 1 is back in Portugal
The Grand Prix of Portugal will take place next October at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, in Portimão.
The last Formula 1 race in Portugal was held in 1996, at the Autódromo do Estoril, a circuit that received 13 races and which was the stage, for example, of Ayrton Senna’s first victory in his F1 career.
This year’s Formula 1 World Championship already has three races held, after a long period of interregnum, and some Grand Prix canceled, motivated by the Covid-19 pandemic. The driver’s world championship is led by Briton Lewis Hamilton.
