Paul Fonseca of Shakhtar Donetsk is considered the 22nd best coach in the world, immediately behind Zlatko Dalic, who led the Croatian team to the World Cup final in the summer, France.

“It should be heresy to suggest that the great Mircea Lucescu has a competitor as the club’s best coach ever, but Fonseca has managed to make it almost impossible to replace a legend with a long passage for the club with distinction,” the magazine said.

Manchester United’s Jose Mourinho appears three places down in 25th place. FourFourTwo writes that the ‘Special One’ remains “a beautiful footballing mind”, but asks: “Why is it that, despite such an exorbitant expenditure, Manchester United still falls short of expectations?”
