Francisca Laia and Messias Baptista finished in second place in K2

Another medal for Portugal at the Canoeing World Championships in Copenhagen (Denmark). Now Francisca Laia and Messias Baptista won silver in K2 Mixed 200 meters.

The pair finished the race in 34.34 seconds, 39 hundredths off Hungarians Anna Lucz and Kolos Csizmadia.

Portugal now has four medals in these World Cups, after Fernando Pimenta’s gold in K1 1000 meters, João Ribeiro’s silver (K1 500 meters) and Norberto Mourão’s bronze in adapted canoeing (VL2). Fernando Pimenta will also compete this afternoon in the final of K1 5000 meters.
