Frederico Morais qualified for the round of 16 of the Rip Curl Newcastle Cup

The Portuguese surfer Frederico Morais qualified this Wednesday for the round of 16 of the Newcastle Cup, the second stage of the world circuit that is taking place in Australia, after removing the Australian Adrian Buchan.

In Newcastle, New South Wales, the Portuguese scored 12.10 points (6.17 and 5.93 on his two best waves), taking over Ace Buchan, one of the most experienced on the World Tour, who scored 11.20 (5.93 and 5.27).

Thus, Frederico Morais goes to the round of 16 of this World Surf League, WSL event, and has a meeting with the Brazilian Gabriel Medina, world champion in 2014 and 2018.
