Frederico Morais returns to competition for the Portuguese League

Kikas, who has already won the national title twice, in 2013 and 2015, is the only Portuguese on the world surf circuit, who, like all championships in the sport, has been suspended due to the covid-19 pandemic.

The Allianz Figueira Pro will be, between Friday and Sunday, the first surfing event in the world after the interruption caused by the pandemic.

In 2020, Morais had already played two races in the qualifying circuit (WQS), such as Sydney Pro, in Australia, where he did not go beyond the second round, and Pro Taghazout Bay, in Morocco, where he reached third place.

In addition to Frederico Morais, the Figueirense event will also include the current two-time national champion Miguel Blanco, vice-champion Tomás Fernandes and Vasco Ribeiro, who has won the Portuguese title four times and occupies the 11th place in the WQS.
