Frederico Silva qualified for the quarter-finals in Kazakhstan

The number 179th in the ATP ranking took an hour and 25 minutes to beat the 202nd place in the world hierarchy, in two games, with the 6-4 and 7-5 partials, after facing just one point of ‘break’.

After eliminating his partner from the peer competition and reaching, for the second consecutive tournament, the presence among the eight finalists, Frederico Silva, 25, also assured his best position in the world hierarchy, by ascending virtually to the 172nd post.

The next opponent of the national number three is the Austrian Sebastian Ofner, number 171 in the ‘ranking’, which Frederico Silva won a week ago, in the inaugural round of the first tournament played in Nur-Sultan.
