Frederico Silva in the quarterfinals of the Bangalore tournament

The Portuguese tennis player Frederico Silva has qualified for the quarterfinals of the challenger in Bangalore today, beating German Daniel Masur in three sets in the second round of the Indian fast-track tournament.

Frederico Silva, 292nd ranked in the world ranking, lost the first set by 7-5, but managed to beat Masur 291th in the second and third legs by 6-4 and 6-2, after an hour and 56 minutes of confrontation.

In the quarter-finals, Frederico Silva will face Kazakhstan’s Aleksandr Nedovyesov, 211 in the world, who won the second round of the Australian Marc Polmans, 6-2 and 6-4.
