According to a statement from the Ministry of Internal Administration (MAI), the decision to open two more Authorized Passage Points (PPA) was taken after meetings with the mayors of the municipalities in the state of Ray.
Thus, Portugal and Spain continue to have limited circulation at land and fluvial borders until March 16, starting, as of Tuesday, 18 PPA, permanent or with opening at defined times. In the new period of the state of emergency, cross-border rail traffic remains suspended, except for goods transport, as well as river transport between Portugal and Spain.
However, the limitations do not prevent the entry into Portugal of national citizens and holders of residence permits in Portugal, as well as the exit of citizens residing in other countries, recalls the MAI.
There are seven PPAs that operate 24 hours a day throughout the week: Valença, Vila Verde da Raia, Quintanilha, Vilar Formoso, Caia, Vila Verde de Ficalho and Castro Marim.
The Marvão PPA is open on working days from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm and the authorized ticket points in Monção, Melgaço, Montalegre, Ponte da Barca and Marvão are open on working days from 6:00 am to 9:00 am and from 5:00 pm: 00 to 20:00.
There are also four other authorized crossing points that operate on weekdays from 07:00 to 09:00 and from 17:00 to 19:00, Miranda do Douro, Termas de Monfortinho, Mourão and Barrancos, while the Rio de Onor PPA it is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10:00 to 12:00.
