How to develop the digital economy of business? How can small, and medium-sized companies access finance? What good practices in the area of sustainability and circularity are relevant in the market? These and other questions are the starting point for the project “Creative Biz 4.0 – Circularity, Digitization and Financing in the Cultural and Creative Industries”.

The initiative is promoted by the Youth Foundation and aims to support training businessmen and entrepreneurs with skills that reinforce the innovation, competitiveness, and internationalization of small and medium-sized companies in Portugal.

The project foresees the realization of a roadshow through the north and center of the country, between May and June, by the main incubators and business centers.

Sessions are scheduled at SANJOTEC (May 17th), Brigantia Ecopark (May 19th), Guimarães City Council/ Guimarães Design Institute (May 22nd), Moveltex – Paços de Ferreira Municipal Museum (May 26th), OPEN – Marinha Grande (June 1st), PCI – Ílhavo (June 5th), IET – Amarante (June 7th), Vouga Park – Sever do Vouga (June 16th), Start Esposende (June 21st), UPTEC ( June 29). The start is scheduled for 14:00.

The program includes the presentation of case studies, a match between entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs (promoting a match between creative projects and entrepreneurs from other sectors, exploring the potential for synergy, and launching common initiatives), and a round table with experts in the field.

The objective is to support the training of entrepreneurs in areas such as Industry 4.0, the digital economy, financial literacy and access to finance, insertion, and progression in national and international value chains, and the intensification of innovative activities. In this way, it is intended to increase the competitiveness of creators, talents, and SMEs in the cultural and creative industries, in the northern and central regions of Portugal.
