Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias arrives at Sagres Campo Pequeno on September 29th. Tickets are available February 10th at 10 am at everything is new and at the usual venues.
With nearly a billion YouTube views and over 25 million fans on social media, Fluffy Iglesias is one of America’s most successful stand-up comedians. In 2018, Iglesias was included in The Hollywood Reporter’s “Top 40 Comedy Players” edition alongside comedy giants Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock, and Lorne Michaels. The comedian also had the distinguished honor of being one of the few to sell out Madison Square Garden in New York, the Staples Center in Los Angeles, and the Sydney Opera House in Australia.
Iglesias is the star and executive producer of Mr. Iglesias, the Netflix original comedy series. In 2020, the series won Best Primetime Comedy at The Imagen Awards, which recognize positive portrayals of Latinx actors/actresses in the entertainment industry. In addition to the series, Iglesias signed a deal with Netflix to release his two stand-up comedy specials for the streaming service. The first, titled One Show Fits All, was filmed to a sold-out crowd at the Toyota Center in Houston and premiered in January 2019. The second, Stadium Fluffy, premiered on October 18 on Netflix. The special was taped in front of a sold-out crowd of 50,000 at Los Angeles’ sold-out Dodger Stadium on May 6-7, where Iglesias made history as the first comedian to take the stage at the iconic stadium.
Both specials are sequels to his highly successful 2016 special I’m Sorry For What I Said When I Was Hungry.
Iglesias has also made a name for himself in the seventh art, with appearances in the films Magic Mike, Magic Mike XXL, and A Haunted House 2. His voice can be heard in many animated films, including the recent Space Jam: A New Legacy as “Speedy Gonzales ” aired on HBOMAX. Gabriel is one of the few comedians with a theatrically released stand-up comedy film, The Fluffy Movie.
Gabriel Iglesias is the youngest of six children, raised by a single mother in California. It was during childhood that he developed a strong sense of humor to deal with the obstacles he faced. In 1997, he began honing his comedic skills and performed stand-up wherever he could find an audience; including biker bars and hole-in-the-wall joints. Gabriel’s stand-up comedy is a blend of storytelling, parodies, characters and sound effects that bring his personal experiences to life, with his unique and lively style of comedy making him popular with fans of all ages.
On the 29th of September, Sagres Campo Pequeno receives, for the first time, Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias for a night of laughing and crying for more.
