Galapinhos Beach elected the Best Beach in Europe
Galapinhos Beach, in Setúbal, was voted the most beautiful in Europe, in a worldwide vote in which participants from more than 130 countries chose the best landscapes among 280 bathing areas on the European continent.
The award is awarded by European Consumers Choice, an independent, non-profit organization that, through the European Best Destinations portal, focuses specifically on the tourism sector, awards the best European tourist destinations in various categories.
These awards are the result of open online voting and have the partnerships of national tourism entities as well as the EDEN network, the platform of the European Commission to promote tourist sites of excellence.
European Best Destinations points out that Galapinhos Beach was voted the most beautiful beach in Europe in 2017 because it represents “the perfect beach in an untouched natural landscape”.
