Galaxy Watch4 elevates holistic wellness and personalization with a new update
The new update to the Galaxy Watch4 lineup not only allows users a new form of expression that is more personalized than ever before, but it also includes improved health and wellness features that will be a fundamental help in achieving your goals.
Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. yesterday unveiled a new update for the Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Watch4 Classic during its Unpacked event, which continues its commitment to helping users express their style and achieve their health and wellness. Users can expect improvements in health and exercise features, such as advanced interval training designed for any cyclist or runner, a new sleep training program, and new insights into body composition. Galaxy Watch4 wearers will now have even more ways to customize their style with updated watch faces and a new range of bands.
“We understand the growing needs of smartwatch users, and we’re committed to helping our Galaxy Watch community with their daily wellness routines with our latest update,” says TM Roh, President and Head of Mobile eXperience Business, Samsung Electronics. “Galaxy Watch4 helps our users achieve their personal goals by offering the set of health and wellness features they need to succeed. We are excited to continue this effort as part of our broader initiative to redefine the holistic well-being through expanded experiences and new innovations“.
Motivation to exercise
The latest Body Composition measurement update gives users even more information about their health status progress. Now, in addition to being able to set body composition goals such as specific weight, body fat percentage and muscle goals, users can receive tips and notifications within the Samsung Health app for added motivation. The Samsung Health app will also provide body composition insights and tips through Centr, a digital fitness program curated by Chris Hemsworth, to help users transform their health, fitness and mindset. Additionally, Galaxy Watch4 users will receive a 30-day free trial for full, unrestricted access to Centr.
Whether you just want to stay active or train for an upcoming race, Samsung’s new interval feature for runners and cyclists allows them to pre-set the duration, distance and number of sets for their training. From there, Galaxy Watch4 guides them through a personalized intensity training session with a set of high-intensity workouts interspersed with low-intensity workouts, always delivering a targeted, impact workout.
From warm-up to recovery, the latest Galaxy Watch4 update is designed to provide the best exercise experience for the wearer. Athletes can measure their oxygen levels (% VO2 max) in real time, so they can always exactly control the intensity of their training. After a run, for example, Galaxy Watch4 helps runners maintain adequate hydration by recommending how much fluid to drink based on the amount of sweat detected during their workout. It also tracks heart rate recovery, with data generated up to two minutes after an intensive cardio workout.
Working for a Better Night’s Sleep
Building on the Galaxy Watch4’s robust sleep measurement capabilities, the new Sleep Coaching program helps users develop better sleep habits. By tracking sleep patterns over seven days and completing two sleep-related surveys, the program assigns one of eight Sleep Symbol animals that represent the user’s type of rest. Afterwards, the program will guide users through a four to five week training program that includes challenges, to-do list, sleep-related articles, meditation guidance, and regular reports to support users in improving their quality. of sleep.
When it comes to waking up refreshed, creating a calm and peaceful environment is without a doubt the key to achieving healthy rest. Galaxy Watch4 recognizes when users fall asleep and automatically turns off lights activated via Samsung SmartThings to help create better sleep conditions.
Deeper insights for a healthier heart
Combined with advanced BioActive Sensor technology and the Samsung Health Monitor app, Galaxy Watch4 measures both blood pressure (BP) and electrocardiogram (ECG), allowing users to monitor their heart health anytime, anywhere. . Since first being introduced in 2020, the Samsung Health Monitor app is currently available in 43 markets worldwide, expanding to 11 more in March, including Canada, Vietnam and South Africa.
