Casino Estoril Art Gallery opens exhibition by Rui Carruço

December 16th

The Casino Estoril Art Gallery opens, on December 16th, at 5 pm, a solo exhibition of paintings by Rui Carruço, entitled “Equilíbrio das Formas”.

In this exhibition of paintings by Rui Carruço, the vertical cuts intertwine with mastery, weaving geometries that subtly echo, a vibrant expression typical of his compositions. In its play of light and shadow, geometry becomes a silent voice, providing the images with structure and cadence. This unique technique gives the works a moving dimension, expanding the visual experience beyond the gaze, and inviting a dance of sensations.

Rui Carruço was born in Lisbon, in 1976. He followed an academic life always linked to the exact sciences, which he is passionate about, until he decided to combine this passion with Art, more specifically with painting. In 2000, he attended the drawing course at the National Society of Fine Arts in Lisbon. In 2003, the engraving course of the Cooperativa de Gravadores Portugueses and several plastic artists’ ateliers. In 2004 the Renaissance Painting Techniques course at the Angel Academy of Arts in Florence and in 2005 the stone sculpture course through the International Sculpture Center. In 2013 he co-founded the Atelier Internacional de Belas Artes where he still teaches painting courses and workshops. He has held numerous group and solo exhibitions in various parts of the world and is represented in several public and private collections.

The Casino Estoril Art Gallery opens on December 16th, at 5 pm, the exhibition “Equilíbrio das Formas”, by Rui Carruço. This individual painting exhibition will be open to the public until January 15th. Entry is free.
