Brand clothing will open five stores by the beginning of next year. The first open’s doors on Friday.
Gant is back in the domestic market, with forecasts predicting the opening of five stores. The first, which opens next Friday, will be located in Oeiras Park.
“I would like to pay tribute to Portugal, which is an important market for Gant for several reasons. Many of our best products are manufactured there and it is a market where the brand is already well implemented and valued, we have many loyal customers,” he said. Brian Grevy, CEO of Gant said in a statement.
The next opening is scheduled for June, at the Amoreiras Center, and the remainder is expected to take place between the end of this year and the start of the next, according to the same statement.
It is recalled that the 20 stores Gant in Portugal ended following the bankruptcy of Ricon textile group, with whom the brand had an exclusive distribution agreement since the 1990s.
Gant’s former CEO Patrick Nilson had already told News to Minute that the brand planned to re-enter the Portuguese market this year, with a presence among five of its stores.
