From the 28th of April to the 1st of May, the second edition of the Chaves Codfish Gastronomic Contest took place, a festival that rewards the best restaurants and chefs for their creations, promoting the originality and modernization of local cuisine based on cod.
In this context, Hotel Casino Chaves was awarded an honorable mention for the work carried out to dignify codfish. Among the highlights are the colored cod on flavored potatoes, padrón peppers, and shrimp, from Dinastia Flávia, and the traditional dishes with the ingredient of excellence from traditional Portuguese cuisine that enchant anyone who stops by the Sunday lunch buffet at La Palette.
This year, 22 restaurants participated in the Contest, evaluated by the ingredients included in the preparation, taste, visual appreciation, creativity, and innovation. In this sense, Hotel Casino Chaves, with this honorable mention, reinforces its commitment to its diversity and gastronomic quality for its work with such an iconic ingredient of Portuguese gastronomy.
