GDA Foundation’s Actors Award Presentation is today
The event will take place at the Teatro da Trindade.
It is already today that the 11th edition of the GDA Foundation’s Cinema Actors Prize is taking place. The Teatro da Trindade, in Lisbon, will dress rigorously for this awards presentation that will be presented by actress Joana Barrios.
This year, the Prize has a peculiar aspect, namely the fact of directing the focus also on the training of artists. The ceremony will be preceded by training days addressed to actors.
As for the independent jury, which this year was composed by Adriano Luz, Catarina Wallenstein and Cristina Carvalhal, has already had the opportunity to analyze the works on the list of Portuguese cinematographic productions of fiction, commercially released in the room between January 1 and December 31, 2017. And from this selection were three winners in the categories of Best Actor/Actress, Best Actor/Secondary Actress and New Talent.
One of the distinctive features of the Prize, awarded annually by the GDA Foundation, “is to be a recognition between peers: they are awards of interpretation attributed to actors by actors, by a different jury every year”, it can still be read in the statement.
