‘Ghost of Tsushima’ will be adapted for cinema

Sony has confirmed the news that the most recent title of Studio Sucker Punch, ‘Ghost of Tsushima’, will be adapted to the cinema. The film will have the same director as ‘John Wick’, Chad Stahelski.

The game was released in July 2020 and tells the story of Jin Sakai, a samurai of the island of Tsushima who seeks to repel a Mongolian invasion and protect his homeland. The game is highly inspired by the work and style of Japanese director Akira Kurosawa, so the development has already been carried out with this film sensitivity.

‘Ghost of Tsushima’ is not the only Sony series that is being adapted for cinema, with the movie of ‘Uncharted’ to be in production. ‘The Last of Us’ is also being adapted for HBO television.
