Gilberto Gil in a unique show in Portugal, on April 10th, at the Coliseu Porto Ageas

Gilberto Gil returns to Europe in April 2026 for only four exclusive shows, and Portugal will host one of them: April 10th, 2026, at 9 PM, at the Coliseu Porto Ageas, a unique and unrepeatable show.

Tickets go on sale tomorrow, December 19th, at 10 AM, at Ticketline and usual outlets.

This concert follows Tempo Rei – Última Turnê, the farewell tour from the big stages that will tour South America in arenas and football stadiums until March 28th, 2026. With 21 of the 23 dates already sold out and more than 210,000 tickets sold, it premiered on March 15th, 2025, in Salvador, Bahia, Gil’s hometown, and confirms the creative vitality of an artist beloved by different generations and geographies.

Before he arrived in Europe, Gilberto Gil returned to Salvador, performed in Rio de Janeiro, in Copacabana, on New Year’s Eve, Santiago, Chile, Buenos Aires, Belém, and finished in São Paulo, where he performed for the fifth time on this tour. In April 2026, he crosses the Atlantic for a short European tour that reinforces the exceptional character of the show in Porto.

“There were several elements I considered to decide to do one last tour. There was a reflection on this market and also on the physical demand necessary for these large shows. I want to continue making music at a different pace, but first, we will have this beautiful celebration with the public and family. Transform the old ways of living,” says Gilberto Gil.

On the European mini-tour, Gilberto Gil will be accompanied live by his sons Bem and José, and his grandchildren João and Flor. A formation that symbolises continuity, heritage, and future, in a show that crosses memory, present, and artistic renewal.

With a career spanning more than six decades, Gilberto Gil was a central figure in Tropicalismo, building a body of work that connects tradition and modernity and becoming one of Brazil’s great cultural ambassadors to the world. Author of nearly 60 albums, winner of 9 Grammys, former Minister of Culture of Brazil, UNESCO Artist for Peace, and member of the Brazilian Academy of Letters, Gil is recognised as an essential creator of our time. The concert at the Coliseu do Porto will therefore be more than a show; it will be a celebration of the music and poetry of Gilberto Gil, a universal artist.
