It was with a great hearing that the Publico do Coliseu received Gilberto Gil, author of so many songs that delight the public all over the world, and that once again we have the opportunity to see, hear, enjoy.

Gilberto Gil returned to Lisbon and as always enchants the audience, the Coliseu concert started “Expresso 2222” and “Viramundo“, Gilberto Gil, thanked for their presence, “... a privilege at the beginning of new times, good times, we hope, after so many complications, but at last we are in your presence…

This is followed by “Chiclete de Banana“, “Upa neguinho“, “Luxo Só” and “Volare” in a samba version, performed by Flor Gil, Gilberto’s granddaughter, aged 13, a wonderful voice.

Say a little prayer” was the song that followed, music by Burt Bacharach, which at the request of Gilberto Gil was sung in unison by the audience, followed by “Drão“.

Then comes another high point of the concert, comes on stage the special guest, Adriana Calcanhoto, one of the important voices that Brazil has given to the music of Camões‘ language, and both delighted the audience with “A paz“, “Elogil ” and “Esquadros“.

The concert then continues with Gilberto Gil with “Palco”, “Touche pas a mon pote“, “Sacará miolo“, “Back in Bahia“, “Norte da saudade“, “Andar com fé“, “Aquele abraço”, “Stir it up” and the concert ends with “Tempo Rei“, of course the audience didn’t let Gilberto finish the concert here.

Gisberto Gil then played for the audience with Fico assim sem você“, “Madalena” and it was with “Toda a Menina Baiana” that he said goodbye to the Coliseu’s audience, and if it’s already over, we’re also already missing, wishing that Gilberto Gil and Adriana Calcanhoto return to the Portuguese stages to enchant us with their songs and poems.
