Glass Animals are the new confirmation of NOS Alive’25

NOS Alive’25 welcomes the English Glass Animals on the festival’s first day. The band led by Dave Bayley arrives at the Passeio Marítimo de Algés to perform on the Heineken Stage on July 10, alongside the already confirmed Artemas, Benson Boone, Noah Kahan and Olivia Rodrigo.

The Glass Animals are Dave Bayley (lead vocals, production), Drew MacFarlane (guitar, keyboards), Ed Irwin-Singer (bass, keyboards) and Joe Seaward (drums), having gained prominence with the debut album, ZABA (2014), which includes the hit “Gooey,” known for its exuberant and experimental sound. The second album, How to Be a Human Being (2016), took a unique narrative approach, with each song depicting a fictional character inspired by people they met during tours.

In 2020, they returned with Dreamland, an introspective album that reflects Bayley’s personal experiences, including childhood and complex relationships. They introduced the world to the viral hit “Heat Waves,” which catapulted them to global fame and became a hymn during the pandemic. In 2022, they continued to enjoy the success of Dreamland and “Heat Waves,” which earned them a GRAMMYs® nomination for Best New Artist.

In July this year, they released their fourth studio album, I Love You So F**ing Much*. The album explores themes such as love and emotional vulnerability, reflecting Bayley’s experience with fame after the success of Dreamland. The lead single, “Creatures in Heaven,” marks the band’s return to the bold and atmospheric sounds that characterize them.

In 2025 they will go to the Heineken Stage of NOS Alive’25, to perform on the first day of the festival.
