Gonçalo Bandeira and Margarida Bandeira are national DHI champions

Gonçalo Bandeira (Miranda Factory Team) and Margarida Bandeira (Montanha Clube / LouzanPark) won today, in Penha, Guimarães, the elite national Downhill titles (DHI).

Although he is still a junior, Gonçalo Bandeira continues to play a role in the DHI national panorama. As he had already done at the start of the Portuguese Cup, he achieved the best absolute record, which guarantees him the elite national title.

The lousanense runner made the final descent in 2: 07: 719, the best mark of the afternoon. The elite Francisco Pardal (BlackJack Factory Racing) was the second-fastest, spending another 503 thousandths. The third absolute position was won by another junior Nuno Reis (Miranda Factory Team), 2,363s from Bandeira.

Margarida Bandeira revalidated the elite women’s title, with a descent completed in 2: 52: 146. Ana Leite (Axpo/FirstBike Team/Vila do Conde) was 1.402 seconds slower, falling for the runner-up status. The third classified, at 26.326 seconds was Ilda Pereira (Casa Myzé Team).

Marco Pinheiro (Desportivo Jorge Antunes) and Sara Ferreira (Maiatos) took the podium on cadets.
