Gonçalo Oliveira in the ‘quarters’ of the Anning tennis challenger

Gonçalo Oliveira beat the 134th ATP and fourth seed in two sets, 6-3 7-6 (7-1) in a one-hour, 49-minute clash.

Portuguese tennis player Gonçalo Oliveira, 295th-ranked world player, qualified for the quarterfinals of Anning’s challenger tournament in China on clay by beating Jason Jung of Taiwan.

Gonçalo Oliveira beat the 134th ATP and fourth seed in two sets, 6-3 7-6 (7-1) in a one-hour, 49-minute clash.

In the quarter-finals, the Portuguese player will play with Australian Alex Bolt, the 143rd player and sixth seed of the Chinese team, in a match scheduled for Friday at 3 pm (in Lisbon).
