Google celebrates a decade of Chromebooks with Chrome OS makeover

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of its operating system, Google tried to redesign and reorganize a good part of it. To the aesthetic makeover, he added a new set of tools that, he stresses, will make the platform more useful and simple.

In the list of news, the company starts by registering a Phone Hub. It is a small menu where you can consult some information about your smartphone, such as the battery and notifications. Thanks to it, you can also order your Chromebook to make the phone ring, when you don’t know where you left it, and consult the pages you’ve recently viewed on the Chrome mobile app. Nearby Share support will allow you to share files instantly between the two devices.

If you have an Android and a device with Chrome OS, you will now be able to benefit from the WiFi synchronizer, which shares the list of authorized networks between both gadgets. This exempts you from entering the same password twice, both of which gain access as soon as you access the network with one of them.

Another thing that Google will give to Chrome OS is a more capable screenshot tool, this time with the ability to capture only selected areas of the screen and record clips.

These files will be stored in a clipboard, where the copied elements are, which now has space for up to five components.
